Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?

To ensure we can bill your insurer directly and focus on your health, please have the following "Recovery Essentials" ready:

  • Medical Referral: A referral from your GP specifically for psychology.
  • Certificate of Capacity: A current certificate outlining your functional needs.
  • Claim Details: Your unique Claim Number and the name of your Case Manager or insurer.
  • Approval: Any correspondence from the insurer confirming that psychological sessions have been approved.

What happens during the initial session?

Think of the first session as a Diagnostic Assessment. We work as a team to understand your story, assess the impact of the accident on your mental health, and collaboratively build a treatment plan. We handle the administrative side by submitting a Management Plan to your insurer to request your ongoing sessions.

Do I have to pay anything upfront?

No. For approved WorkCover and CTP claims, there is no out-of-pocket cost to you. We bill the insurer directly at the SIRA-regulated rates, so you can focus entirely on your rehabilitation.

Can I see a psychologist via Telehealth?

Yes. If your injury or driving anxiety makes travel to the clinic difficult, we offer secure video consultations. These are fully covered under the same SIRA framework as in-person sessions and are often a helpful first step in the recovery journey.

Will my employer see my private session notes?

No. Your clinical notes are strictly confidential. As your teammates in recovery, we only communicate with your employer regarding your functional capacity and any workplace adjustments needed to ensure your return to the organisation is safe and sustainable.
